On the morning of September 4, 2012, we got up and got ready and headed over to see Grandma and Grandpa Schumann. It was a pretty day out so we were excited to go over to their house and spend the day doing whatever with them.
Sawyer was so excited to meet his only full set of Great Grandparents... and his only Great Grandfather. I think they are BOTH smitten with each other.
Four generations. Love this one of Grandma and Grandpa. They look fabulous!!!
Grandma and Grandpa with their newest great grandchild. Look at the sweet look on Sawyer's face. He loves them!
Love this.
Charlotte normally goes right to Grandma Millie. She was skeptical this day. So Grandma went and got some of cousin Xander's toys out so she could play with something. It kind of worked.
After hanging at the house for awhile, we went to the Kampsville Inn to have a delicious meal. Whenever we are back, we always love going there. Delicious chicken. Delicious tenderloins. Delicious. Charlotte actually let Grandpa hold her too!!
After lunch, we went back to the house. Grandma's Facebook got all messed up so I had to make her a new email and Facebook account. She had locked herself out and we couldn't get back in no matter what we tried. Charlotte and mom took a nap. Grandpa held Sawyer. Grandma helped me. It was chill. It was fabulous. AND we got Grandma back on FB so she could feel connected to us and the outside world again. Once naptime was over, we went outside to play in the front yard. Charlotte can always find something to entertain her. Today, it was Grandpa's old truck. She loved it. She drove it. She ran around in it. She ecstatic.
Grandpa with his great grands.
Charlotte was really telling Grandma and Grandpa something important here!
One last squeeze before we head on our way!
We rode on the ferry and went back to the Carrollton side of the river to the Webers. It was time for dinner, baths, and bed...
but not without a quick gator ride first with cousins Melissa, Eric, and Wayne.
It was such a great day. We hung out and talked. Charlotte got to play like crazy. We got to just spend chill time with just Grandpa and Grandma. Grandma looks great... the cancer is NOT going to get the best of her! She just keeps trucking along. Sawyer was fussy off and on but that's to be expected. Love our days with Grandma and Grandpa. Love them so much.
