You know, we always look so forward to our time in Illinois. We try to spend as much time with everyone as possible and we try to soak up all of the fabulousness that IS Illinois... good food, lots of family time, lots of laughing, plenty of attention, help with the babies...
On September 5, we woke up and planned to spend the day hanging out at Grandma Ann's house... this time with just a few other people. Everyone had to go back to work or school so it was a chill day for us.
Sawyer sound asleep in Great Grandma Ann's lap.
The morning started out just like every other morning... feeding the farm cats. Charlotte takes her job of make sure the kitties have "nacks" VERY seriously.
Aunt Kathy came down the lane to spend the day with us. She needed to come get her snuggle time in.
Charlotte knows who Grandma is...and she finally goes to her...willingly.
Grandma Ann's sister, Aunt Doris Jean, came over for lunch. She wanted to get some baby time in! She had a big health scare earlier this year (or the end of last year) and she has made it through with flying colors!!! She is doing amazing!
Wayne came out to play with Charlotte and to spend time with his Grandma and Great Grandma. Charlotte really had no idea what to do with Wayne. Normally she is the one who comes on strong but Wayne would just dive right in and be with her as much as possible. He is just so sweet.
After a fabulous day of hanging out at the house, delicious lunch, a photoshoot in the yard, and dinner, we headed to Aunt Kathy's house down the lane for a hot tub party!
Charlotte and Katie both wore their bikinis. Charlotte LOVES the hot tub.
After the hot tub party came the real bath. My crazy dirty child needed to get all washed up so she was clean for our drive home.
Didi and Katie didn't want to say goodbye to my crazy kids.
Check out Sawyer waving to them as they left (Just kidding)
Charlotte says "Didi" all of the time now. She loves her Great Aunt Diane.
It was the perfect end to a fabulous day. We were able to relax and hang out on our last full day in Illinois. Tomorrow evening we make the trip back to Georgia.
