You're My Forever: A Day With My Family

Saturday morning, we woke up and had a fabulous day planned!!!! Lots of family/sister time!

Anne and I had to go get fitted for our bridesmaid dresses for Mary and Chad's wedding in March. Now that is a pleasant thing to do 3 weeks after you have had your second baby in a year and a half. Talk about anxiety as the tape measure all over my bod. I wanted to say, "Just order me a tent and I will wear that." Anywho, we got those ordered.

After we got measure, we went to Avanti's (a STAPLE of the Peoria area) and had a perfectly delicious lunch. It was amazing. And we ran to Target as well...because that's what us sisters always do. Always go to Target.

Afterwards we went back to mom and dad's house to hang out...

....and so Charlotte could take a nap...

...and so we could listen to church in the background (we have no idea why that was on.)

We then went up to Metamora to see Chad's new place of residence... Mary's future place of residence come March 23. He lives in a 2 bedroom duplex on the edge of Metamora. Charlotte thought she needed to go outside and hang out... one of the only times she would go with Chad.

So excited we got to see their place while we were back!!!

Does this picture not make you want to cry????? I love this one. I have no idea why she was standing like this but it literally makes my heart hurt.

After our trip to Chad's house, we went back to mom and dad's house to hang out and wait for friends to come over. While we were getting changed, we heard a HUGE crash. We run downstairs and we find out that half of the tree had fallen to the ground. This is the SAME tree that was struck by lightening when we had stayed with them for that month this past Spring.

Charlotte even came out and helped clean up the tree!

After we got the tree cleaned up ( I need to find another picture of it to post here... a close up) some family friends came over. Charlotte got to see Lisa MANY times this trip. Lisa came over 2 different times during the week to take pictures of Dad for a book she was making for Charlotte. Charlotte also went over to Lisa's house to play with her dog, Zoey. Charlotte refers to Lisa as "woof woof".

She loved playing on the tractor John and Lisa got Sawyer... and she had to dress the part as well.

Kari came over to meet Sawyer as well.

Jennifer came over to spend a few hours with us. All of us kids went up to Kouri's to have a few drinks and hang out. While we were gone, mom and dad...and friends... watched Sawyer.
