Oh, back woods of Georgia, how I love thee...
So we decided that before Aunt Kathy had to leave to go back to Illinois, we would go through the Festival of Lights. It was taking place at Callaway Gardens... a gardeny, foresty, lake area Northeast of where we live. It was a 25 minute drive for us. But first, we had to get the kids dressed up in their Christmas-y clothes!
Sawyer needed to chew on a bit of celery...
Love how she is sitting... all dressed and ready to see the "yites"
Alex got off of work early and we got all loaded up and headed to Callaway Gardens.
Once we got there and got in line, we put Charlotte on the center consol so she could see the "yites".
Look how cute she looks sitting there.
So in awe of the 8,000,000 lights.
This was my favorite part. It was hard to take really good pictures of the lights.
Sawyer even sat up front on Aunt Kathy's lap for awhile. He loved it.
After we were done driving through the forest, we decided to go to the little village/shops/celebration place. Aunt Kathy didn't bring a jacket bc we didn't think we would get out of the car. Well, jokes on us. It was a bit chilly so she held Sawyer and used his blanket as a cover.
There was a large nutcracker in the house. Very large.
We stopped by and saw Santa. Charlotte was not a fan. Not a fan at all. Since we weren't allowed to have your cameras ANYWHERE NEAR the man in red, I took of picture of him from a distance....sitting on his throne. The red arrow, yeah that's "Hoho" as Charlotte calls him.
We picked up a few ornaments and some hot pretzels and headed home. What a perfect little Christmas event!!!
