Christmas Eve 2012

Christmas Eve was very a full day for us. We woke up at 3:30 am so that we could get to the airport in time. (We had spent the night at Grandma Ann's house and Dad was taking us to the airport to make our 6:30 am flight.) The only options for our flight (the cheaper ones) was to get to Atlanta by 9:30 am or not until 7:30 pm. So we opted for the painful early morning flight. OUCH.

The day before had been such a big day and even though I went to bed around 10 pm ish, I did not sleep much. Sawyer was up a few times and eventually mom took him so I could sleep. So, we got up and headed to Lambert Airport in St Louis. Charlotte and Sawyer slept the entire way to the airport. We literally took them from the bed to the carseats. They didn't even wake up at all. We got all checked in with enough time to get a bagel for breakfast.

When we got onto the plane, it was packed. We were in the very last row with some poor teenage girl. There ended up being a few empty seats closer to the front of the plane and she jumped all over those. We were able to spread out so we could all sleep on the flight home. That part was fabulous...

Once we landed, paid for parking, and got onto the interstate, we decided we needed real food and a potty break. So we stopped at Chick-Fil-A in Newnan for lunch to eat in the car. It was perfection. The kids both took naps. We got home around 1 pm. We got ourselves settled, had a delicious dinner and made some cookies for "Hoho" to eat.

Charlotte was a BIG fan of making and icing cookies.

Shake those sprinkles, girl!

She was so impressed with her work.

"Yummmmm"

Yeah, this girl is a HOT mess.

She loves her cookies.

CHEESE!!!

We got the kids all dressed up in their Christmas jammies and ready for bed.

We set the cookies and milk out for Santa. Charlotte was so excited to share her cookies with him.

She also kept trying to steal them.

Sawyer wants the milk. Charlotte is sneaking a sprinkle.

Both of them eyeing the sugary deliciousness.

"Nigh-nigh SawSaw"

It was time for bed. The sweet babes went right to bed. It had been a long day to say the least :)

So excited for our entire day at home on Christmas Day.
