Every family has their own traditions. Some sing Christmas carols while icing cookies shaped like snowmen. Some eat the same food every year at Christmas. Some go to the movies on Christmas night. Some draw names.
Webers have their own traditions. For the second year in a row, the Weber family has made Christmas all about family, guns, presents, beer, food, and lots and lots of laughing.
Don't. Mess. With. Her.
Loading up.
You can always count on Uncle Stinky to bring his alcohol dispenser. It's always a good time.
I was sitting in Grandma's bedroom putting Charlotte to sleep and some extremely loud shook the house followed be loud laughter and cheering. She went to sleep (despite the sound of guns going off and laughter). When I went outside to see what had caused the noise, this is what I found...
Guns, alcohol, and cousins.... sounds like a great time to me :)
Getting ready for the boom! Alex has assumed the position.
The before...
HE HIT IT!!!
....the after.
Don't worry. They made sure it was out before they exploded the next one.
My sweet babes taking a nap together despite the 30 people hanging out outside and in the living room.
Someone woke up from her nap ready to play!!!!! She LOVES her present from Gigi and Papa. The hair dryer actually blows air out at you.
The crazy girl loves her Aunt Kathy.
We eat squirrels. I mean, why not, right????
The engaged couple!!! Exactly three months from today and they will be getting married!!
Kurtis finally found the proper "shooting guns 2 days before Christmas in Illinois" attire.
Sweet gun, right? Yeah, I was too nervous to even look directly at that one.
The Sibleys hanging around the fire trying to keep warm. I just don't think it was a big enough fire. They still look cold.
Sisters. Twins...just born 8 years apart.
No worries, that's just a beautiful sunset...not a fire we started.
We have a sniper on our hands here...oh wait, no that's just Alex spread eagle on the ground.
Kurtis tried to hit one of the big ones... poor dude kept missing...
Uncle Jim tried too. He hit one of the cans but it didn't explode. So he handed the gun off to Alex...
...and this is what happened.
That time it exploded.
I think this is out of sequence but oh well. Gus Gus came to party. He was ready for a Christmas extravaganza.
"Well, Jim, let's go put the fire out."
Two of Grandma's favorite boys. Check out Kurtis's sweet earring. He has one in each ear :)
We were so happy we got to be back in Illinois for this Christmas celebration. (as we are any celebrations.) They always plan it for when the most people can come...which is generally a few days before or after Christmas. Luckily they were able to plan it and everyone except Anne and Jare were able to be there on the day that I said we could come.
And the day was just getting started :)...
