So, even though we got to Illinois on August 28 and we had missed out on quite a bit of sleep, we still made a full day of our first day there.
One of the things we made sure to do was get Charlotte's mullet trimmed :) Her hair was starting to look like a mullet/rat tail. It was not a good look. So we had one of Mary's best friends cut it. She is the only person who has gotten to cut Charlotte's hair thus far in life. Since Charlotte was tired and skeptical of strangers, she did NOT handle the haircut very well. She cried. Loud. She screamed. Loud. She thought she was getting another shot so she wouldn't let me hold her (since I had betrayed her the day before and held her down during the shots.) So, Mom held her during the haircut. Thank you, Kayla for getting her haircut... you were a champ.
After her haircut, we went back to Mom and Dad's house and Charlotte took care of the cats. She likes to make sure they are well fed.
She likes to stalk both of the cats.
Dad made it home from work to see his two favorite children.
How cute does her hair look???? Isn't she so pretty???
So happy to be with her friend, "Belle" (Belle is the normal sized female cat. Sammy is the abnormally large male cat shown in this photo. This was right before he scratched her bc she kept pulling on him.)
I have no idea what is on her cute little face. But look how sweet her hair looks. Love this face.
For dinner this night, Charlotte stayed with Gigi, Papa, and Aunt Bare. Sawyer and I went to dinner with my fabulous best friend from high school, Jodi. It was so wonderful to introduce her to my handsome little man. We ate dinner at Bernardi's North and had some much needed girl time. I was also able to go by her house and give her 2 sweet girls a quick squeeze and kiss. Love them so much!
