Our first week of having Sawyer in our lives was very low key...very chill. We stayed at home mostly. Sawyer went to the pediatrician's office on Monday August 13, 2012, He was looking a bit jaundice but not enough for the doctor to want to do anything. His weight was 8 lbs 4 oz. The doctor was happy with everything with him. Even though the doctor didn't say I needed to, I still wanted to make sure Sawyer's yellow tint to his skin went away. So, we decided to sunbathe.
Charlotte and Gigi hung out in the pool while Sawyer and I hung out on the screened in porch. Naturally, the fabulous big sister had to come hang out with us on the porch. Wherever Sawyer is, she has to be.
She loves him so much.
He. Is. Perfect.
One of the fabulous things about having Gigi here is that we can get out of the house easy. So, we made sure to make a trip to Target... I mean, three of us are girls who LOVE to shop!!!
He is our Rockstar.
Skyping is so important to us. Having all of our family and friends far away is very hard. But Skype helps us to feel closer to them. So we naturally had to Skype multiple times in Sawyer's first week around the house.
Sweet baby girl.
So, Charlotte and Gigi have many "things" that are their "things" that they do. One of them is they walk down the driveway into the cul-de-sac. On this particular day there was a puddle of water in the cul-de-sac. Charlotte had a BLAST playing in the puddle. She was a mess...
Wiping her hands off.
Charlotte was so dirty she had to be hosed off outside. :)
Charlotte hates the feeling of grass on her feet. In fact, she just has a weird foot thing. In this picture mom had just taken her shoes off of her. She was all flustered bc she didn't want to have to walk on the grass :) So funny.
Love this picture.
So, Sawyer got his first official package sent to him. Aunt Alysia and Lee sent him and Charlotte some amazing gifts!!! THANK YOU :)
HE LOVES THEM!!!!!!
So does Charlotte :) Best dressed kids in the Columbus, GA area.
This little man is the sweetest man in the entire world. LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
Sawyer is just an amazing baby. He's a snuggler. He eats well. He sleeps well. However, he does have his fussy period of everyday. It ranges in time. Sometimes it is at 2 am....sometimes 11 am.... sometimes 4 pm....sometimes 9 pm. It lasts for 2 hours. I can always tell that it is a belly issue. He will grunt.... fuss... cry... scream... burp.. pass gas... hang out/be quiet for a few....then ....grunt... fuss...cry....scream... burp... pass gas... hang out.... right at the 2 hour mark, he goes to sleep (from exhaustion, I am assume.) Hopefully we will figure it all out soon.
