Oh How We Have Missed Them...

On Saturday, June 15, we woke up ready to take on another fabulous (and hot) South Carolina. We were all so excited because we had visitors coming all of the way from Charleston to see us!! We got up and went downstairs to enjoy a delicious Embassy Suites breakfast. They sure know how to deliver a good meal :) We got ready for the day (including cleaned up the mess that is our hotel room.) Mom left and had a day for herself. She headed to the mall and to explore the area.

Leslie and Laney were the first to arrive! We hadn't seen Leslie since January and we hadn't seen Laney in even longer. She has SO grown up. It is crazy! We were so happy they drove all of the way from Charleston just to spend part of the day with us. Next to arrive were the Midgetts. Gavin and Charlotte hadn't been reunited since January. And really, the past year, this would only be the fourth time they had seen each other :-(. She was so excited to see her friend. Alex and Tyler went to Wild Wing to get lunch for all of us while Us three girls took all of the kids swimming.

Ready for the pool!

The pool was pretty busy. It was an indoor pool so it was crazy loud in the pool area and there were some crazy older kids in the pool.

Sawyer even let Leslie hold him :) She is always so good with kids.

Laney is so good with the babies. She loves helping us with them :)

Watchful mommies... Parker loving some lap time with Leslie. Niki loving having free hands right now :)

Naturally Charlotte needed to try Sawyer's floaty out.

Oh how I miss this sweet boy!!!

Best friends forever.

Here is our crazy four kids. Ages 2 and under.

Love these kids and wish we lived right next door to them.

We all had a great time. Leslie and Laney headed back to Charleston and Niki and Ty and the boys headed back to Greenville. Leslie also came to visit us!!! We hadn't seen her since January either. She had worked the night before and still took the time to drive all of the way to see us (amongst a ton of traffic jams and cars everywhere.) Both kids went down for a nap while she was here so we got to have friend time. She has had a few big things in life change recently so it was great to have friend time :) I miss her so much.

We had such a great day!! We loved seeing our friends. It is so hard to explain just how much we miss them. They are all part of the "family" that I made for myself and I hate only getting to see them a few times a year. They are the family that was there for me when my whole world was 1,000 miles away and my future husband was in Iraq. They were there for me and are still there for me.

Thank you so much for coming, friends. You are the bomb.
