Happy Father's Day

On Father's Day, we got home to our house in Metamora around 9:30 in the morning. Mom drove a huge chunk of the drive, I drove some, and Alex finished the drive, driving home from Indianapolis. Once we got home, we all took a nap. We got up and got ready and headed to Mary and Chad's house for a delicious Father's Day Lunch.

Mary fixed potatoes, salad, bread, vegetables, and Chad cooked amazing steaks on the grill. It was so good!!

Then we hung out in the yard for awhile and just enjoyed relaxing...and not being in a car.

Happy Father's Day, Dad/Papa.
You are the most amazing role model for us kids and our spouses. You are the hardest worker I know and you have to best heart out of anyone I have ever met. We love you and are thankful to be close to you. My kids are so lucky to get to grow up near you.

Papa was teaching the two crazies how to golf.

I am sure a fight happened at some point and he ended up winning. He is becoming quite the bruiser here.

We had a delicious homemade dessert. A truffle to be exact.

Yep. That's my man.

Happy Father's Day the one amazing Daddy.
My kids are so very lucky to have this man as their Dad... in a world of a bunch of part time Dads, he is a hands on, always there when they need him kind of Dad. He works hard so they do not have to want for anything. He is an amazing role model for them and they are really his world.

Charlotte is embarrassed at times though.

Hanging with Aunt Bare and Uncle Cha Cha.

They do have sweet moments together.
They are each other's best friend.
They are lost without each other.
Love them so much.

After Mary's we went home for a bit then headed over to Gigi and Papa's pool for a quick evening swim.

Charlotte is doing really well with her swimming. She was showing off for Gigi and Papa :) Sawyer was looking on...

Big boy! Loves his Daddy.

Another sweet moment. Sometimes she seems so proud of him.

Happy Father's Day, Alex. I love the Dad that you are and the Dad that you are always striving to be.
