On June 18 while we were driving from NC to Georgia, Mary, Charlotte and I stopped to visit our wonderful friends (and Charlotte's best friend) the Midgetts. Charlotte and Gavin have been having playdates since she was born. They play so well together. They never fight or hurt each other. They just play and play and play. So Mary and I stopped, grabbed some lunch, and got to their house around 1:30. Gavin had just woke up from his nap and was ready to go!
We let the kiddos run around the house like crazy as usual. Parker is growing up so fast and he looks so old :( Gavin ran around and played and kissed and hugged like he always has. It's like everything was back to normal (besides being in a different house.)
Niki got out the water table for Charlotte and Gavin to play.
Oh how they love the water!!!
Swimming suits are optional with our kids.
Parker was so good. He just hung out in his little toy and played.
I bought Charlotte and Gavin a "dog dog" cupcake to share. It was so cute!!! And they ate EVERY BIT OF IT!!!
Gavin LOVED that cupcake!!
And Charlotte even left some on her lip for later. (My beautiful friend in the background. She looks so great!!!)
It was so wonderful to see them. It had been over 3 weeks since I had seen any of my Charleston people and it had been a month since I had seen them. I miss my friends. We tried to do playdates with the Midgetts once every week or two. It's so hard not having them close. However, we are thankful that they are in Greenville bc that is closer than the 6 hour drive to Charleston :)
Thank you, Niki, for having us over for a few hours! We needed it!! Parker and Gav, we love you! Don't grow up so fast...we aren't there to see it right now and that breaks our heart.
After leaving their house, we jumped in the bus and drove to Georgia. We stopped outside of Atlanta for a Chik-Fil-A dinner and kept driving. We were so happy to be home and to see Alex and Max.
