A quick shout out to my dad. I am so proud of him. He ran a 4 mile race on Saturday, June 16 in Peoria. It was really hot and our Weber family isn't runners. However, Dad worked VERY hard to get to the point that he could run this entire race. And he did it! Mary went to see him run. She didn't see him start running but she did see him cross the finish line (through her tears). They even announced his name when he crossed the finish line. (I cried over all of this as well.) We are so proud of you, Dad!! Way to go!!
On Monday morning, June 18, our little alarm clock named Charlotte Marie Jackson woke us up! She was so happy to wake up in a big bed with us three girls. She started off the day with eating her cereal in bed.
Aunt Meem and the Goose
Charlotte had already had 2 breakfasts at this point... see the powdered sugar on her face???
Charlotte is so popular.
We went down and had breakfast with Dad and John before they got back on the road to Illinois. Charlotte was so happy to see her Papa.
She has him wrapped around her finger.
Happy Belated Father's Day, Dad.
Charlotte has Uncle Poop wrapped around her finger as well. All she has to do is grab someone's finger and they are all about going anywhere with her.
Charlotte was happy to have more attention.
Goodbye hugs for Papa. We won't see him again until after the baby is here.
It was time to pack up, drop off Aunt Meem at the airport, and head back to Georgia with Aunt Bare. Charlotte was in charge of pushing her baby.
How cute is she pushing that stroller? She kept running into people's doors and they thought she was knocking so they'd open the door to see who was there. So awkward.
So, we went by mom's meeting to tell her (and a room of ladies) goodbye, we checked out, said our goodbyes, and got on the road. We took Anne to the Charlotte airport then Mary, Charlotte and I headed to Greenville to see Niki, Gavin and Parker for a bit...and to break up the drive to Georgia. That shall be in the next post. It was a great weekend and we were so happy to be able to spend this important day with Mom.
