After much thought and consideration, we decided that instead of getting Charlotte a toddler bed or a twin size bed, that we would get her another crib. At 17-18 months, we figured that was too early for that kind of a change. We also didn't want to completely change her entire world when the baby comes. So, we decided to give the nursery furniture to the baby (being that Gigi and Papa bought it for all of our kids) and we decided to get Charlotte a new crib.
The crib came while Charlotte and I were in Atlanta. We put it together the day after we got back from our little girls' trip. She was so excited to help Daddy with his tools.
Charlotte loved using the screwdriver.
Check out how she is multi-tasking. A screwdriver in each side of the crib.
Here is the finished product of her big girl room :)
We got a new glider for her room since Charlotte is such a snuggler and still loves her rocking time.
Anyone seen a huge bear anywhere???
The dresser is from my Great Grandma's house. When I found it in 2005, it had raccoon poop on it. I cleaned it, repainted it, etc. Not too shabby, right? Also, the full length mirror was the best $5 we spent in her room. HOURS of entertainment.
Charlotte's room is the only room in our house that feels completely done. She loves it. She tinks she's cool in it. We love it! And we accomplished our goal of not having to buy much for it.
