A Baby Shower for Baby Kamm

On April 19, Anne and I hosted a baby shower for Mary at my house. We knew it would be a tight squeeze but we hoped everyone would have a seat and hoped there would be room. We had a brunch shower. The theme was.....Baby. Clever, right? We wanted to have a fun, easy going, not a lot of games or requirements shower. We wanted to required part to be short so that people that needed to could get on their way.

The two grandmothers of the sweet baby!
(The child in Gigi's lap has pink eye in his right eye....courtesy of his sister.)

The "quilt square making" station

The Mom and some of the yummy food.

Another activity.... write messages on the diapers for Mom and Dad to read.

Some of the beverages.

Gifts, gifts, and more gifts.

This child is already so blessed.

"What do you think? Blue or pink?"
As everyone walked in the door, Mary greeted them and asked for a guess on boy or girl, birth date, and weight.
We had favors in the basket by the door.
They were thumbprint cookies from Trefzgers. One blue. One pink.

Sweet Brenna came :)
She enjoyed a delicious plate full of food.

Present time.
We started presents pretty early because we didn't want the shower to drag on. Being Easter weekend, we knew everyone had plans and didn't want to spend their entire Saturday at a baby shower.

This baby will be prepared for swimming the day he or she is born!!!

Mary had a little helper with her presents.

We had a buffet of food. Hasbrown casserole, an egg casserole, fruit, dips, cinnamon rolls, sweets, biscuits.

Clearly I am proud of this part since I did have multiple pictures of it.

The quilt decorating table.

Typical place for Aunt Didi. In the kitchen. Doing dishes. Helping out.

She was also loving on this big, one eyed, green drainage monster.

Great Grandma Ann....holding Alana...great grand baby #5

This sweet boy was mowing and having a blasty.

I love this picture of these two.
They both look beautiful.

These two LOVE each other. Best cousins.

How sweet is this picture??????

This sweet girl was exhausted once everyone left!!!
She was such a good girl.
She was so tired that she fell asleep sitting up. I walked out of the room and came back a minute later and this is what I found.

Mary's Maternity Pictures.... Shoot #1

Mary and Baby Kamm are trucking right along. The baby is growing like crazy and Mary has that beautiful pregnancy glow. (Those of us that have been pregnant know that the glow is most commonly caused by sweat. But whatever:) )

Mary looks amazing.
Thank you to Mary and Chad for letting me capture a few pictures of your growing family!

The same spot they got engaged in.

We headed out to Chad's family's farm to get the last few pictures. I had had both kids with me on the square for the first pictures but Alex picked up Sawyer on his way home from work and Charlotte came with me to finish the pictures.
She LOVES going to "Janet's house". She loves the kitties.
Shocking.

There is NOTHING like a Midwestern sunset.

The pictures turned out pretty good and Mary and Chad were AMAZING models for me. We can't wait to meet Baby Kamm. :) This child is so incredibly loved before it even is born.

Another Snow Day... shocking :)

Well, this winter we are getting plenty of snow!!!
The kids LOVE playing in the snow but it's so hard to take them out because a lot of the time it is just too cold to play in that white stuff. Wind chills of zero and below make it so we can barely leave the house, let alone play IN the cold snow.

On this particular day, it was actually "warm" enough to play outside.

I love their little stocking caps....even if they won't stay on.
Girls with tons of hair at a small age problems :)

How cute is this little troll.

He LOVES to eat the snow.
I just keep reminding them not to eat the yellow snow.

Aunt Bare came to hang out with us and to help me with the kids in the snow.
Little Baby Kamm is hanging out in there just growing and growing and growing.

This girl loves to eat the snow too :)

The best picture I could get of the two together.

Me and my beauties :)
A rare picture of the three of us.

He is always playing in this same spot. He is OBSESSED.

We played outside for about 30 minutes. They LOVED it. Eventually they were frozen and needed to come in.

Check out those adorable rosey cheeks :)

We are embracing these snowy, cold Midwest winters :)
I remind myself that the benefits outweigh the cold winters :)
