A Sunday Breakfast

On February 16, 2014, we woke up at the hotel. The kids were super excited to be awake and playing at the hotel. They enjoyed cupcakes from the day before that got all over the place. That really did not matter since we weren't at home :)

We all got quite bit of sleep. Both kids and Alex were asleep by 9:30 pm and we didn't get up until 7:30 am. We got up and got EVERYTHING together. We made MULTIPLE trips to the car. Then we loaded up and headed to Mom and Dad's house. We met all of the family that had spent the night there. Mom and Dad had breakfast ready when we got there.

Charlotte LOVED the new backpack her friend Kaedence got her. She was so excited to pack it up and wear it to the car.

This sweet boy loves his Papa.

Alex sits the same way everytime he eats. It's like a stance. Legs apart in a tripod position. So funny.

Charlotte and Sawyer were so excited to get to see Kyla again and play with her.

This child's buttcrack is obnoxiously long like her momma's. Poor girl :) It will forever hang out.

Great Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Bev and Uncle T gave Charlotte her presents at Gigi and Papa's house. They know the way to her heart. Dress up clothes, a bag full of play make up and hair products, and a crown. This princess was in heaven.

She even got a Barbie that matched her outfit!

How cute are they?

It really was an amazing weekend. The inches and inches of snow didn't stop anyone or slow them down. It snowed all of Saturday night but had stopped by Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon it was 40 degrees outside and we were able to actually get all of the ice and snow off of our driveway...for the first time in forever.

The kids were so excited that it was warm enough to play outside. Haha. "WARM" enough.

Charlotte, of course, had to rock her brand new Sofia jammies from Kyla and Alana. She had to wear them to bed the first night we were home :)

Thank you to all of our family and friends that were able to join us for Charlotte's birthday party. She felt so loved. We are so blessed to have you all in our lives :)

More and More Snow...

We woke up to more and more snow on Sunday morning. We were shocked (please sense the sarcasm.)

So when handed lemons, make some lemonade!!!
We had another fun time playing outside with Daddy in the snow!

It's crazy just how much snow there is to be played with.

They love it. They love Daddy's day off. They love the snow. They love each other :)

It's the year of the snow :) I feel certain there will be more snow pictures to come!!!

Jennifer's Baby Shower

February 8th was a busy day for us. Alex had to work. Charlotte had to turn three. I had an amazing shower to go to for one of my VERY BEST FRIENDS. It was also a day of a big snow storm. Perfect!

Jennifer, one of my high school friends turned into college roommate and one of the bestest friends I have ever had, is having a baby. Jennifer and I have been friends since we were 15. We lived together for three years in college. We went through the hardest year of our lives together in college. It is so amazing and crazy to see her pregnant and welcoming her first baby into this world.

Her baby shower was at her cousin's beautiful home out in the country. It started snowing around 11:00 that morning and was projected to be a bit of snow accumulation. However, all of our college group was able to attend!!! Here was the "Chicago"group rolling in a few minutes late....due to the snow.

How cute is this???

Beautiful Jennifer. She was truly showered with gifts. One of our favorite things was Jennifer not knowing what each item was. Since she hasn't really been around a baby for quite awhile, she didn't have a huge idea on what certain items were. I wish we had videod it because some of her comments were priceless.

 Beautiful Baby Mama.

Jennifer and her Mama.

My beautiful pregnant friends...

Brianne is 17 weeks, Ashley is 23 weeks, Tammy is 28 weeks, and Jennifer 36 weeks. (Those are approximate actually. I am PRETTY close to the correct week though.)

Baby bellies...

I mean look at my shirt...all bunched up and showing my tank top. Everytime I look at this picture I get annoyed!
My besties....
Amy, Brianne, Ash (all three from college), Jennifer (high school and college), Erica (college), Melissa (high school), Tammy (college)

I love these Bieneman ladies.

We've been friends for years and year....over half of our lives.

A few photos of a beautiful pregnant momma.
I love Jennifer looking like a pretty Mom.

Jennifer's shower was so beautiful and perfect. Her cousin Julie did an awesome job (with a little help from her friends). The snow continued so we all ended up leaving. The Chicago girls made it back ok. It was a great day. We had so much fun!!!!!!!

Congratulations to Jennifer and David! We can't wait to meet Baby Gillespie and see, what will it be? A He or a She?

Another Snow Day... shocking :)

Well, this winter we are getting plenty of snow!!!
The kids LOVE playing in the snow but it's so hard to take them out because a lot of the time it is just too cold to play in that white stuff. Wind chills of zero and below make it so we can barely leave the house, let alone play IN the cold snow.

On this particular day, it was actually "warm" enough to play outside.

I love their little stocking caps....even if they won't stay on.
Girls with tons of hair at a small age problems :)

How cute is this little troll.

He LOVES to eat the snow.
I just keep reminding them not to eat the yellow snow.

Aunt Bare came to hang out with us and to help me with the kids in the snow.
Little Baby Kamm is hanging out in there just growing and growing and growing.

This girl loves to eat the snow too :)

The best picture I could get of the two together.

Me and my beauties :)
A rare picture of the three of us.

He is always playing in this same spot. He is OBSESSED.

We played outside for about 30 minutes. They LOVED it. Eventually they were frozen and needed to come in.

Check out those adorable rosey cheeks :)

We are embracing these snowy, cold Midwest winters :)
I remind myself that the benefits outweigh the cold winters :)
