First night in Illinois...only a few pictures...

Ok, somewhat out of order, Charlotte and I flew into Midway (as stated in the previous post) from Charleston. It was a direct flight which is the absolute best way for us to go. She isn't big on the whole idea of staying in a small confined place and not being able to get up and move. So I prefer a direct flight to Chicago and then the 2.5 hour drive to my 'rents house.

We flew out of Charleston at 8 am which meant we had to get there by 7, leave the house at 6:30, and I had to get up at 5... perfect. She barely slept the night before and I knew that could be a good or a very very very bad thing.

I turned out to be a fabulous thing. We made it through security, which is a hot mess when you are bringing liquids with you for your child to drink, and got to our with enough time for her to eat her breakfast... then it was time to fly!

Charlotte started chugging her bottle before take off. By the time we were taking off, she was sound asleep. Even though it felt like the plane was running over small volkswagens as we took off, she slept right through it.

She woke up in the very best mood which was awesome with only like 30 minutes left of the flight.

She had enough time to play in a seat by herself...

...and she had a bathroom break during turbulence.
It was definitly an ok plane ride. We love flying Southwest because you can pick your seats. We choose the very back row so that anyone that sits next to us CHOSE to sit next to us.

We arrived at my mom and dad's house that evening after a stop for lunch with friends and a bit of shopping.

Charlotte even let Uncle John feed her her dinner that night.

He wore his Sunday best at the dinner table that night...

She was such a good eater for him and he loved being able to feed her.

Naturally Charlotte brought her STL gear since they were in the World Series. Aunt Bare has provided her with many different STL onesies... she def represented... and they won this night!

It was a great first day of the trip.... many more posts to come... I took prob 500 pic or more :)
