The End of Easter Sunday...

So, to end our Easter Sunday, Dad and Alex headed back to Metamora (they had to work the next day) and Mom, the kids and I headed over to Mom and Dad's new place in Golden Eagle, IL. It is a "villa" (a very nice duplex that is far bigger than the house we live in currently) on the Mississippi River. They took ownership of it a few weeks prior. The kids and I hadn't been able to visit it yet.

A shout out to my Mom and Dad. Happy Anniversary!!! They have been married for 35 years!! (YES, 35years.) They got married when my mom was 17 yrs old...she had braces... and Dad was 22 and already had a killer mustache. They started their marriage in the Northern part of Calhoun county and they now own a home in the Southern hills of the county. Congratulations, Mom and Dad. We are so happy you took that step. I mean, what would the world be like without your amazing four children?????

So, we hung at the villa Easter night.
Sawyer loved it. He was kicked back and on vacation. How cute is he???

The view from the upstairs deck.
The Mighty Mississippi.

We had some visitors that night right when we got there. Grandma and Grandpa Schumann came over. They also brought Great Aunt Betty and Great Uncle Paul and mom's cousin Robin, her husband Mark, and their daughter Mary.
Charlotte loved Mary.

And as a surprise, my cousin Chet and his wife Vanessa came out to see us!!!
(Calhoun county is the county the villa is located in...which is also the county that Mom grew up in. Mom grew up on the North side of the county and this is located on the South side...across the river from the suburbs of St. Louis.)

A beautiful sunset.

And to top it all off, Great Grandma Ann, Great Aunt Kathy, and cousin Katie came over to spend the night.

Charlotte let Aunt Betty love on her. That meant the world to Aunt Betty.

Giving Great Grandpa kisses.
This was the first time we had seen him since his visit in the hospital.
He was VERY VERY VERY sick and we are so lucky he is still around to be ornery.

I am so thankful for Chet and Vanessa.
Without them, the Easter present would have had to be put back in the box bc Momma wasn't smart enough to put it together.

It was a perfect day! We had so much fun!!

I am so thankful for family.
I don't know what I would do without mine.

Easter Egg Hunt

Since Easter only comes around once per year, we made sure the Easter Bunny left eggs outside for all of the great grandkids. Melia and Uncle Rich brought Kyla out for it even though Uncle Rich was hosting Aunt Michelle's family for Easter that day. They wanted to make sure Kyla got to hang with the other Weber kiddos during the Easter Egg Hunt.

I found out some fabulous news right before the hunt and that is that Melia and Chase are expecting again! Kyla will be a big sister come late fall!!

Charlotte was pretty pumped about having so many eggs out there waiting for her.

Kyla was pretty much down to business the entire time.

"Where did that egg go? I know I saw it over here."

The three oldest great grandkids...huddled in a corner near the cats' scrap pan. Naturally.

Easter Boys

Daddy loves his boy.

Charlotte felt the need to make Gigi and Papa help her with the eggs.

Attempting to get a picture of my kids together on this important holiday.

So Dad and Uncle "Stinky" found a corn cob on the ground and hid part of it in an egg. Uncle Rich gave it to Charlotte. She was so excited. When she opened it and found the cob, this was her face.
She thought it was poop at first. (She is obsessed with poop.)
We said, "Who gave that to you?" She said "Stinky" and gave Uncle Rich a dirty look and handed the cob back to him.

I love Sawyer's eye lashes in this picture.
So handsome (even if he is fussing in the picture)

Father and Son
Wayne was pretty chill about the Easter Egg Hunt

Jackson Family
Easter 2013

Great Grandma is so funny!!!

Charlotte is crazy about her "Maw Maw"

Gigi and Papa with their favorite people.

Sawyer started this amazing face on Easter Sunday.
It is his excited face.

Great Grandma and the youngest in her family.

They are a crazy group but they are all so awesome.

Naturally after a picture on the gator, everyone needs to enjoy a ride on it.

Katie, Didi, Jake, and Liss came to see us. They were also hosting Easter for their "Inlaws".

Hahaha. He was SO EXCITED!!

I can't get enough.
He had a blast!!

The hunt went awesome.  Charlotte was way more excited about the Herskey kisses and candy than the money Great Grandma gave them in the eggs.

Thank you, Grandma Ann, for letting us crash your house and spend the holiday with you!! It was a perfect day and it was actually warm enough for the kids wear their cute clothes :)

Thank you family for doing so much for my kiddos. They are so loved.

Easter Sunday On The Farm

At Grandma's house, you never quite know who is going to stop by when. It is the glory of being at Grandma Ann's house. Everyone feels welcome at any time.

Uncle Jim and his family dropped by to see the kids and bring them Easter presents.
Sawyer was so excited for all of his special snacks.

He was willing to share them with Kurtis if he had wanted them.

Eric, Amanda and Wayne were there too.
Aunt Kathy brought Wayne his Easter bucket from her...full of fabulous toys, stuffed animals, and fun stuff.

I had to include this picture bc Kurtis does not share things that touch his mouth. He will not let anyone drink out of his drink or touch his food or bite off of something that he is eating.
However, he did play with the kids and let them feed him some snacks with their dirty little hands :)
He is making progress having all of these babies around.

Charlotte even lets Uncle Jim pick her up...I missed the hug but she did give him a hug and tell him "thank you".

The James Weber family on Easter 2013

While I was helping Grandma cook lunch, Alex, Charlotte, Eric, and Wayne headed up the road on the gator and saw the goats, llamas and pony things.

Staring contest.
Who won?

Charlotte is just a magnet for funny looking things... like goats.

She LOVES IT!

Wayne and Charlotte.
They love each other.
Charlotte talks about him all of the time.
And she is wearing all pink... not by my doing.

I love her face in this picture.
So creepy and sheepish.

Those ponies are great!!

Eric and Wayne viewing whatever animal that is.

They had a great time up the road.
Time to head home.

She is crazy

Here Comes Peter Cottontail....

The Easter Bunny visited Charlotte and Sawyer at Grandma Ann's house. He came and left them some very fabulous gifts!!

We had prepared Charlotte that he would be visiting while she slept.
I think she thought we were lying :)

She found some fabulous surprises
...and out of the entire pile, the first thing she picked up was new "BIG GIRL YAYAS"

Sawyer we so excited for all of his little treasures.... like a boat.

Of course Charlotte has a zebra Easter bucket.

So excited for such a fun morning!!

"Mom, that bunny brought me a NEW CUP"

"...and a BOW TIE"

Sawyer was too young to hide the indoor eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden but Charlotte was ALLLL about it.

Go girl!!!

Sawyer just crawled around and looked cute.

After presents and Hershey Kisses, Charlotte made sure to do her normal morning routine and feed the kitties. She knows where the food is, what the cats' names are, and the entire routine.

I love these cats.
I am a crazy cat lady.
The striped one, "Stripey" has stolen my heart.

And early that morning I found "Stripey's" babies just a bit after Charlotte fed her. They were in the puppy igloo.
How cute are these babes?????

We had an amazing Easter morning. Eric and Wayne came out nice and early. We had donuts and bacon and eggs. We hung out and waited for everyone to come out for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.
