It. Is. Wedding. Day. Time To Get Ready...

Anne, Mary and I had to get up nice and early for wedding day prep. We had to be at the salon uptown for hair and makeup at 8 am. Even though Mary's alarm was set for 6:30 am, we were all up before it. Sawyer was up by about 6 am and Charlotte followed close behind. We were very excited for Mary's big day to say the least :)

Good Morning kisses for Aunt Bare on her wedding day!

Anne and Mary ran to Mom and Dad's house to get showered and get their bags for the day. I handled my two crazies and got them ready for our big (LONG) day. We actually made it to the salon by just a few minutes after 8 am. I was proud of myself.

Sawyer loves his Aunt Mee Mee. Check out his fresh haircut.

Charlotte LOVES "hairtut" place. She loves the salon. She helps herself to everything she needs. She knows where they keep the suckers. She knows all of the girls. This was the best way to start a day for her.

I was first in the chair. I think this picture of me is awful. I love it.

Charlotte and Sawyer playing with Lindsey.

Charlotte is obsessed with makeup so once Aunt Bare had her makeup done, she made Kari do hers too.

Loving it.

Anne and I opted to have the same hair do. The problem with this is that I have no hair and she has tons. And my hair just would not curl that day.

Needless to says, her hair looked better than mine. All day. So jealous.
Kayla tried. My hair sucks.

Mary was so excited to see her friend from high school at the salon. Sarah is 8 months pregnant and has a little man named Carter. Charlotte LOVED him.

Hair time for the bride!!!

...And for the flower girl.

Carter really started to warm up to everyone.

Bride. In case you forgot.

The photographers for the day! Rachel came from Mississippi for this and Avis came from Chicago :)
You ladies are amazing.

The stylists for the day!!! These girls brought the beauty to the wedding party.

"Congrats Chad and Mary"

Once hair and makeup was done, we all headed to the church to get ready!!!

Mary's beautiful gown...

Getting dressed.
We ran into a snag.
Two of the girls' zippers broke.

I LOVE MARI'S FACE HERE... and Michelle's.
So funny!!
It zipped. It worked. all was good.

Poor Lindsey and Mary had zippers that broke.
SO, Anne and Mom sewed them into their dresses.

A bit of stress... Sawyer and Mom both felt it.

Charlotte was actually pretty good during this process. We were getting dressed and ready in the church nursery which was full of amazing toys for her.

She never did get a nap in that day. She loves her "Aunt Dats" so she went right to her and snuggled as soon as Aunt Kathy got there.

Once we were all zipped and sewn into our dresses, it was time for Mary to get dressed.

She really had a beautiful dress.

Lacing her up.

Adding THE PEARLS.
These have been worn at all three of our weddings.
They were my Great Grandma Retzer's pearls.

Mom and Daughter

Meanwhile, my kids were visiting with family and just being pretty cute.

Charlotte LOVES "Tee". Poor Katie, she had to carry her around. ALOT.

We got bridesmaid pictures taken (in the middle of a country road) and then headed back in to warm up. Now, we were super pumped that it wasn't raining or snowing, HOWEVER, the high was like 45 degrees.... BRRRRRR....

Mary and Chad did not want to see each other before the wedding but they wanted to pray together. They stood on either side of a wall outside and held hands while Andy, Chad's brother, prayed over them.

Chad got Mary a new bible and new diamond earrings as a wedding present.
So sweet.

Grandma Millie and Vanessa made it!!!
Beautiful as always!!

A few pre-wedding pictures...

Steve and Janet, Chad's parents.
Fabulous fabulous people.

Mom and Dad
The bride's parents in case you didn't know :)

One last quick visit before the wedding...
Aunt Betty, Mary's Godmother, made the 3 hour drive just for the ceremony. She was so happy to see Mary on her wedding day.
This is a great picture.

The alter is ready....

Let's get the show on the road!
