Charlotte's Last Birthday Day...

We decided to celebrate Charlotte's birthday one last time. Alex was busy/at work during her actual birthday. So took the Tuesday after her birthday and used that as our family day. We got up and drove to Normal, IL to the children's museum.
Naturally we chose the day at the museum when there were like 8 field trips going on. Taking a 2 year old and 6 month old to a children's museum when there are that many elementary school kids running around was not the best idea we have had. We had hoped it would be more empty but it was not. We made the best of it though.

Shopping and cooking with Daddy.

We kept throwing our little guy into the little gyms like this so he could play around.

Totally intrigued by this. She loved it!!!

My two boys. Hanging out.

The upstairs of the museum is devoted to farming. (Shocking I know.) There were some really cool things that Charlotte got to do up there. She got to see how cows are milked. (That is a real cow. KIDDING)

We loved the museum. Charlotte LOVED the water part of the museum. There was a water table with lots of spouts and tubes. She was IN LOVE with it and did not want to leave...naturally.

After the museum, we walked around downtown Normal (which has been redone and is super cute). We ended up eating at a Mexican place. Charlotte needed a nap in the worst way SO we ate in a hurry and got in the car. She ended up falling asleep as soon as we got in the car. We ran a few errands around Bloomington-Normal and then headed home. We ate at Mom and Dad's house that night. It was a great day and we can't wait to go back to the museum...esp when there isn't a field trip visiting :)
