A Few Days At G's

Since Eric's wedding date is May 17, I took the kids down to Grandma Ann's house on Thursday afternoon (after taking multiple hours to water our lawn). The kids slept for about 2 hours of the ride and then were up talking and yelling my ear off...naturally.

We planned to help out with wedding stuff in any way we could (I mean a 9 month old and a 2 yr old are extremely helpful). The weather was beautiful when we got there! So we hung out outside on Grandma's deck. Some genius made sure to put a door/gate on the deck so we could gate up the kids and they wouldn't be falling down the steps.

How cute is this guy in his Walmart "crocs"??

They are only 6 months apart in age :)

Sawyer was actually letting Aunt Kathy hold him :)

Oh sweet Smokey. We love him and his haircut. He is a long haired cat but Aunt Kathy called the hair cut lady and had her come out and give him a bit of a hair cut. He is a bit choppy but we can tell her feels better.

The way to Sawyer's heart is food...as Grandma knows.

Charlotte loves her  "MawMaw"

Apparently the shorts were a bit too big for this guy. They just fell down.

Aunt Kathy always comes prepared.
Big red balls are always a  hit.

A bowl cut, no pants, and a red ball. Sounds like a party in Great Grandma's yard!

I brought Charlotte's four wheeler. Wayne thought it was hilarious.

We knew Liss and Katie would be out :) We love when they come play with us.

We took a ride over to Grandma's neighbor's pasture. Charlotte was really wanting to see some "tows".

This was her face as she saw the cows for the first time.

This was their stance as they saw her.

Hey, guy!

Checking out the cows.
Charlotte said, "I smnell tow poopf."
Our ride to the neighbors was the perfect end to our day. We had a great day...busy...but good.  Charlotte slept with Grandma Ann like she always does and Sawyer slept with his Momma :)

The next morning, Charlotte did what she always does in the morning at Grandma's house.
She woke up and checked on the cats but they weren't at the back door yet.
She then decided that she was hungry so she had her normal toast and her hot tea with Grandma. That is Grandma's breakfast drink of choice. Charlotte knows this. That is her request every morning.

Toast seems pretty clean. Not for this guy. Everything goes in the hair.

In the middle of breakfast and tea, the cats showed up!
Charlotte had to go outside and feed them (as always)
She loves her some "Snokey" and "Sipes"

Then her and Grandma finished their breakfast and tea.

John came down to Grandma's house to help Uncle Jim on the farm. It is one of the best times of the year! It's planting season!!!
Charlotte ran outside when she heard the tractor so she could wave to her Uncle "Poopf".

Uncle Jim, Kurtis, and John all hard at work.

Melia and Kyla came out to visit and play with us.
How cute are these two holding hands???
They have come a long way from hitting each other a few months ago.

Love this picture...

It was another great day. We saw Wayne again (I forgot to take pictures.) We found that our role in the wedding preparation took place at the farm. We helped with some of the chairs and did a few things here and there. But we mostly helped take care of Wayne so that Eric and Amanda could get all of their errands run. We got to play with Wayne both days!

Tomorrow is Wedding Day!!!! YAY!

Happy Wedding Weekend Eric and Amanda!
