To Grandma and Grandpa's House We Go

The morning of January 20, 2013, we got up bright and early and headed to Columbia to see the Jacksons. We had not be able to celebrate Christmas with them as of yet so this was going to be our Christmas with them! It had also been a VERY long time since we had been back to Columbia so we were really needing to make that trip. The kids had been sick all week but finally seemed to be feeling a bit better by Saturday evening.

We left the house at 6:15 am and headed toward Columbia. The kids went back to sleep after we started the drive. We stopped and got breakfast east of Atlanta and kept heading onward. We made the trip in 4 hours and 30 minutes.

The weather was pretty nice so as soon as we got there, Charlotte was able to go outside and play... and she was in heaven. Grandma and Grandpa Jackson have 2 chickens and a dog. Charlotte LOVES animals so she was all about helping feed the chickens and all about playing with Berkley.

Sawyer was all about swinging in the swing. He loves the outside as well.

Charlotte was very busy at work with the chickens.

She could have stayed there and fed them all day. Uncle Austin even came to help feed them!

Busy girl.

Uncle Austin and Aunt Ashley got back from church and hung out with us. Aunt Amelia had her camera out too taking more amazing pictures.

"I runs." -- Exactly what she was saying as she took her strides.

Happy being held by his daddy.

Charlotte wanted to get in the pond and just hang out.

Charlotte loves her Aunt Amelia. She kept going up and taking her hand trying to get her to take her wherever she wanted her to go.

Uncle Austin, however, she was not as sure about. Love the look on her face here.

Austin got his duck calls out.
A new toy.

Teaching her how to make the noise with it.

So funny!!!!

The duck noise is so funny!!

Talking to Grandma.

Austin has grown his hair out. She had her brush and hair dryer out. He wanted her to use it on his hair. She had no desire. She was just not sure what to think of this.

Grandpa Jackson and his first grandson.

Giggling!!! Daddy is so funny!!

Hugs for Aunt Amelia!! She remembered her from seeing her the Sunday before and playing with her at Cracker Barrel.

Love this photo. My two boys.

Grandpa Jackson and his two grandkids.

We hung out at the house. We played outside. We played inside. We ate lunch. We caught up on life.

And the day of festivities continues...
