Date: August 8, 2013
Weight: 22 lbs 0 oz
Height: 30 inches
Clothes: Sawyer is rocking some 9 month clothes but mostly 12 month clothes. He is right on target for what Carter's and Target brand clothing feel he should be :) He wears size 4 shoes now. He is still wearing size 3 diapers and size 4 diapers at night.
Teeth: Sawyer has six teeth now! :) He has four on top and two on bottom. He has a big 'ole gap between the top front teeth which looks so sweet and slightly funny.
Sleeping: Well, let's see. Naps are a must for this guy. He loves his naps and he usually take a morning and an afternoon nap. He is a pretty good napper. He is great about sleeping in the car. He will sleep really well until the car slows down or until the car door opens. He will some days take 2 hours worth of naps and some day take 4 hours worth of naps. He likes to be rocked to sleep...and still takes a bottle before bed. He gets pretty gassy in the night (STILL) so I know we should skip the bottle before bed but the kid loves it. Right now, on August 8, he is sleeping horrible. Just horrible. He has a cold...fever...possibly teething...runny nose...etc. He is sleeping horrible at night. He is up and down and all over the place. Prior to being sick, he would sleep through the night 1 or 2 times per week. When he wakes up, he generally comes across the hall to our room and bunks with us the rest of the night. Some day he will sleep through the night....every night...
Health: Sawyer continues to be pretty healthy. He still refluxes but it isn't painful. He will occasionally spit up (or I guess throw up since it really is real food and drink.) He has a cold right now. It started with a runny nose in North Carolina/South Carolina. He was also sneezing quite a bit. I kind of thought it was allergies. He then started with a fever on that Thursday but it went away quickly (possible teething?) Well, his fever was gone all weekend then started up again on Tuesday. By his birthday (today) it is a fever fever. His eyes are watering. His nose is runny. He is sneezing and coughing. Poor poor baby. We shall see where this leads us. And I have called the doctor's office...no need to bring him in yet...
On the Move: As you can see with the picture below, this boy is on the move. No stopping him. Stairs? No big deal. Big block of cement? He's got it. Playground equipment? See you at the top. He is ON THE MOVE!! All. Of. The. Time.
Eating: Sawyer eats it all. He loves meat. It makes his day. He will eat steak, chicken, pork, lots of ham, he loves meat. He loves vegetables. He loves anything that anyone is eating. He loves his popsicles and suckers. He loves chips and donuts (nothing but the best for my kiddos). He loves to have a fork or a spoon with him when he eats even though he doesn't really use them properly (not a big deal). He loves his apple juice and we are getting ready to switch him to cow's milk. He is still on the Soy formula with a bit of rice still added to to it. He takes between 2 and 3 bottles per day now. We are going to start mixing them half and half and see how his belly handles it. Hopefully we won't lose too much sleep over the cow's milk. Fingers crossed...
Favorites: Sawyer loves getting on anything and everything. He falls down and stands right back up. If he cries, it is because it really hurt. He loves whatever his sister has and wants to play with it. (He only wants it because she has it though.) He LOVES his sister so much. He is starting to like his Daddy more and more. He loves his new trucks he got for his birthday party and he loves the electric four wheeler we have that he can ride. (He has loved it since he was 8 months old.) He loves the school bus that we have in our living room. He drives it all of the time. He loves to play outside...especially when water is involved. He constantly messes with the water hose and any sort of cord or hose. He still loves the vacuum and helps me vacuum everytime. He pretends to be on the phone and knows what noise animals say. He knows when we are at Gigi and Papa's house and runs right in looking for the cats. The list for him goes on and on....
I never knew a little man could steal my heart like this. Sawyer, you keep on keepin' on.
And his story goes on...
