Happy July 3rd!

We decided to go down to Grandma Ann's house and to the villa for the 4th of July weekend. We had a BIG celebration at Grandma's house, complete with cheap fireworks and everything!!

The kids and I came down to visit and stay starting July 2nd in the afternoon. Alex arrive that evening as well.

Aunt Kathy came down to visit. She brought Charlotte a blizzard. She knows the way to her heart.

Both kids are so happy that Wayne came out to play!

Charlotte and Wayne play so well together... probably because he lets her boss him around.

As usual, Charlotte was all up in Aunt Kathy's grill and wanting to play with her phone.

Sawyer is starting to love Grandma Ann :) How cute is this??????

Happy July 3rd everyone :)
Aunt Kathy made a blackberry cobbler. Yummmmm

And she made my own individual apple pie with my age on it.
It was SO DELICIOUS.

I went for a run while both kids took naps and Alex played outside with guns.
He wanted to teach Sawyer to shoot. No worries, he didn't shoot. He was just holding a non loaded gun.

Naturally Kurtis and Uncle Jim were present. They love them some guns!

Everyone started coming out to Grandma's house when they got off of work. We had grilled meat, lots of sides, delicious desserts, and fun times.  We took the great grandkids down to the pond to take pictures before the sun set. (Those will be in the next blog entry.) After that, Mom arrived after having been in Florida for the week. She offered to watch Sawyer while I took Charlotte down to the pond for the fireworks (put on by John, Alex, and Uncle Jim.)

Charlotte was all ready to go.
She says this is her pretty face.

I. Love. This. Picture.
Not quite sure why but it is one of my all time favorites of Charlotte.

This was her outfit heading down to the fireworks.
Fleece, striped bibbed overalls, and furry boots.
Naturally.

We are so fancy :)

We sat on one side of the pond, they shot fireworks off on the other side of the pond.

Uncle Stinky and his granddaughter Kyla Margaret.

All set up and ready to watch the fireworks.

This was fabulous!

How tough does she look??
So funny.

Most of the pictures of the fireworks didn't turn out.
Here was one that kind of did.

The fireworks were great. John and Alex had this crazy finale set up that didn't quite pan out from our side of the pond. However, it was a great show. We loved it. We all though of Grandpa at some point during it. It was 12 yrs ago today that we had the visitation. He also LOVED the fireworks and the 4th of July.

Great show, guys. :)

Afterwards, we all hung out down by the pond with a fire and some drinks. It was a perfect celebration!!

Happy Birthday Eve, America!
