For the week of July 14th, my cousin Katie came up to visit us for the week (Sunday through Friday). I was excited she chose this week bc we had a bunch of random stuff planned for the week.
On Monday, July 15, 2013, the GDI's (minus Brianne and Jennifer) headed to the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. We got up and left by 7:30 am. It was a drive filled with a 2 year old that opted out of napping and an 11 month old that didn't nap near long enough due to the 2 year old. However, we made it there.
Amy and sweet Matthew were waiting for us!
How sweet is he???
Katie wore her stunna shades and was ready for ALL of the animals.
Tammy, Amy and I all arrived pretty close together. Erica and her two were inside waiting for us. Ash was on her way with her two.
We started with the monkeys. What kid doesn't like a good monkey???
Matthew is so smart!!!
He was making the animal sounds and talking up a storm the entire time he was at the zoo!! Such an advanced little 16 month old :)
Charlotte loves her some monkeys!! (Or "Ha Ha's" as she calls them)
He was in awe.
After we saw the monkeys, we decided it was lunch time. Everyone needed some food to refuel after the drives and excitement of all being together. Here is our rowdy group!!!
We have from left to right...
Nicholas 20 months, Jack 3 yrs, Molly 4 yrs, Addelyn 2 yrs, Charlotte 2 yrs, Grayden 4 yrs, Sawyer 11 months, Matthew 16 months.
We didn't see a TON of exhibits. You can only imagine the chaos with all of this.
It's glorious :)
The Workmans.
They are all so beautiful.
Oh how we love the giraffes!!!
Grayden was SO lucky that he got to use the binoculars!
So was Ash :)
These three are just so cute together!
We have the strollers all lined up...
How cute is Nicholas????
He was so good all day long!!!
The polar bears were a hit! The kids loved loved loved watching them swim.
We took SO MANY photos....
On to Part 2...
