Family Vacation: The Wedding Dance

And the Wedding dance and reception continues.....

And here we are! The first two "in laws" of the Jackson family :)

Just hanging by the fireplace

A very serious talk going on here.

Aunt Barbara checking in with the babies.

These two are quite the pair. Amelia made that bow tie for Cullen. He looks a bit like Colonel Sanders in my head.

The Mr. and Mrs. Adam Jacksons.
I love this picture of them.

And I CLEARLY love this picture of us.

Aunt Amelia and Charlotte caught the bouquet. Yes, initially there WAS a throwdown BUT it was all taken care of and Amelia and Charlotte got it!

Kisses...

This is my favorite picture from the reception. My all time favorite of these three together.

Who wouldn't want us as sister in laws?? :)

And there he is. Mr. America himself.

These two were taring up the dance floor!

It's a party :)

Charlotte raided the photobooth props and stole the bouquet. She is ready.

Mid dance move.

That pose. So. Much. Sass.

You can dance if you want to!

The last picture of the night!
Everyone on that dance floor had plenty of love, fun, and alcohol flowing through their veins.

By 10:30, the kids had reached their max. They were exhausted, crabby, and ready to just leave. Alex drove Adrienne's car and I drove our car. The kids went RIGHT to bed.  Since Adam and Amelia were in the wedding, they had to stay until the very end and help. When they were done, they met us at Adam and Adrienne's house with Cullen. We all hung out and had a few drinks and talked for awhile. It was nice to get to hang out and just enjoy each other for awhile before we headed out to Charleston the next morning.

Congratulations to Austin and Ashley!!!
The wedding was beautiful! We are so glad we could make it!

Family Vacation: Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July from us to you! Happy Birthday America!

We woke up nice and early and Adrienne and had made plans to go to the sprinkler park at Saluda Shoals. Grandma and Grandpa Jackson suggested it. We were originally going to try the zoo but being that it was going to be like 95 and gross during the day, we thought it wouldn't be the best idea. The boys and Amelia headed to the shooting range to do target practice with their guns for the morning. Grandma Jackson suggested this sprinkler park. We invited Grandma and Great Grandma Mimi but due to the heat, they decided to stay indoors for the morning. Uncle Keith, Aunt Nancy, and cousin Jillian were going to come meet us but we ended up leaving before they came.

This girl loves a playground!!!

Naturally we brought snacks. We ALWAYS bring snacks.

These two. Watching the weird, dirty, sketchy kids at the park....making sure Charlotte is safe and we don't need to throw down.

She is really starting to love a good slide.

The kids were overwhelmed with the sprinklers so we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Jackson's house to meet up with some of the family. They also have a neighborhood pool that we wanted to check out. We dropped Aunt Adrienne off at home because she had plans with her friend and then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Charlotte ran up onto the porch and joined Aunt Nancy and Jillian on the swing. Sawyer and Uncle Keith started another gun battle like the night before :)

How cute is he?????

I could just pinch him. That hair. The curls. The blonde. His eyes.

CHEESE!!

Grandma Jackson gave Sawyer his special birthday present! It's a choo choo train!!!

We had lunch with everyone. We had delicious leftovers from the night before.
Then for dessert, we had delicious cupcakes.
This girl loves her sweets.

There is a lot of red white and blue going on here!

Both kids got adorable swimming suits from Grandma and Grandpa Jackson. They were red white and blue. So they wore their new swimming suits for the 4th of July.
And Sawyer wore Uncle Adam's new hat.

The kids love my phone. They took it and were showing videos and pictures of themselves to Grandma Mimi.

And then they shared their pictures with Grandma Jackson.

We finally headed to the pool for a bit. They had a baby pool at their neighborhood pool. The kids LOOOVED it....although this was right before Sawyer went under. Freak me out.

Rocking her new swimming suit.

Cousin Jillian came to the neighborhood pool with us. Because of the heat, no one else wanted to venture out and watch the babes play in the water. They were in heaven though.

After about 45 minutes, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Jackson's house. Alex and the guys had gotten back and were eating lunch there. We said hi and the kids put on a show for everyone. Then we headed back to Uncle Adam's house. It was time for naps and time to get ready for the wedding :)

Happy Fourth Of July

Happy Fourth of July!!

Sawyer started his Fourth of July sharing a popsicle with cousin Kurtis.
Anyone who knows Kurtis knows he doesn't share food or drink with ANYONE.

Apparently, Sawyer isn't just anyone :)
That little boy can charm anyone!

We went out to Aunt Diane's house for a big meal and for swimming!

Pretty much the entire clan came out!!

Kyla loves her "Bubby". Uncle Caleb loves to make her laugh.

It's a busy pool day at the Hendricks household.

Since his Mom and Dad had to work, Wayne had a babysitter. Jake went and picked him up so he could come play with all of the kiddos.  He was a maniac!

Charlotte was all over the place. Naturally.

I seem obsessed with Caleb with all of these pictures of him :) I just like the way this one edited.

Uncle Stinky is so funny!!!

Kyla finally took a bit of a nap. She had had a long weekend!

Charlotte loves to be around the family.

After we swam for quite awhile, we headed over to Mom and Dad's Villa for fireworks and to stay a few days.  Alex headed home because he had to work bright and early at 8:30 the next morning. We hated he had to go but that is life in the car business.  Aunt Bev and Xander were there when we got there! They were planning to spend the night and Aunt Bev would just go straight to work the next day.

Aunt Bev and Grandma Millie wanted pictures of sweet Xander Kraig. Here is one of the pictures I took of him.

This kid is a comedian. He shaved off his eyebrow.

Our big boy is ready for some fireworks!!!

We headed up the hill by the pool club so that we could watch fireworks from about 20-30 different fireworks celebration on the Missouri side of the river. I couldn't get any shots of the fireworks that turned out. However, it was really cool.  Fireworks (and BUGS) everywhere. We brought a huge group of people with us... Mom, Dad, the kids, me, Aunt Kat, Aunt Bev, Xander, Aunt Didi's fam, Uncle Jim's fam, we were busting at the seems with people! It was fabulous!

Our little hot mess... that refused to wear her 4th of July outfit.

Happy 4th of July.

God Bless America.

We were all in bed, fast asleep by 10:30. It has been a busy but fabulous few days.
