On April Fool's Day, the day after Easter, Katie, Grandma and Aunt Kathy were still at Mom and Dad's new place with Mom, the kids, and I. We headed over into St. Charles, MO (right across the 'ole Mississippi River...which we crossed using the ferry bc the closest bridge is really far away).

We shopped for decor for the villa and we got some special stuff for the kids. We ate a delicious lunch then headed back to the house to get it decorated a bit.

Even though Grandma and Aunt Kathy decided to head back to Carrollton (about an hour away) that evening, Katie stayed and Melissa came over for the night to have a slumber party with us. Aunt Bev also came for the party after she got off of work. It actually was a shorter drive for her than going all of the way home to Kampsville.
The kids love the Villa. They love the water being out almost every window.

Another beautiful sunset. Nothing like it.
We had a random modge podge dinner. Aunt Bev arrived safely. The kids enjoyed a bath in Gigi's bathtub overlooking the river. They let Melissa bathe them.
And we had dessert and watched tv before bed.
A great slumber party!!!!
After the kids were sound asleep, Melissa, Katie and I watched the new Footloose. LOVED IT!!

We woke up the next morning and we all headed home or to work.
It really was a great weekend.
Busy but full of great fun and just enough nap times that the kids weren't too fussy.
