On April 20, 2013, we had a busy little Saturday.
We had plans with friends first thing in the morning then we headed to the Peoria Zoo to meet Dad. Dad's company he works for, Country Financial, was helping host a money day at the zoo. They were teaching small kids about money and handing out a bunch of fun stuff. There were fun activities and what not. We met Dad as he was walking in to work at it. Charlotte was SO excited to see the animals.
We initially went into the food court area where all of the activities were. The minute we walked in, Charlotte was on guard. All of the way across the room, she spotted this man dressed up as a blow up dollar bill. She flipped. She didn't want to go anywhere close to him. She was PETRIFIED. So we had to make sure she was facing away from him and what not.
We didn't stay in the room long and she was not willing to participate in any of the activities. We went out and saw the zoo. Now, they just redid the zoo so it is pretty good. It used to be on the list of the 10 worse zoos in America. It was TERRIBLE. It is still not amazing but it has definitely improved.
Charlotte loves the "GAFFES".
Charlotte and one of her favorite guys.
How cute is crazy guy in this picture???
We had lunch. Charlotte screamed all through lunch bc the "Money Man" was coming near her. He finally realized that she was screaming bc of him so he finally stopped coming near us. Took a few times though. Dad helped us get to our car and we headed back across the river. Both kids fell asleep while I was driving so I just drove around the neighboring towns looking at houses for sale. (Not that we are looking to buy. I just wanted to take a gander.)
We then met up with Mary's friend, Mari, who wanted to have me take some senior pictures of her.
Mari is fabulous. Her and Mary have been great friends since Mary's freshman year of college. Mari brought her two best friends with her to have them jump in the pictures as well. They were all fabulous girls and we had so much fun!!!
I love this one of Mari.
I love all of these of her.
This was their idea. I loved it.
This is so funny :)
Awesome girls. Congratulations, Mari!!!
I went straight home, got the kids settled, and started editing.
