This particular weekend is one that we had been looking forward to for two months :) Niki and I made plans for our two families to meet for a Saturday/Sunday event in Atlanta. We booked a hotel off of living social and away we went. It wasn't the fanciest place but it was pretty nice...esp for the money we spent.
On Saturday morning, the kids and I got up, got ready and headed to meet Niki, Tyler, and the boys at the Georgia Aquarium. It was a pretty good drive with both kids having been pretty quiet. Once we got there, got our tickets, and got in, we headed to eat lunch right away. The place was packed and driving two double strollers through people and tables proved to be quiet difficult. We all ate and were ready to get our day at the aquarium started :)
The youngest of the bunch was away for lunch and in great spirits.
Alex had to work all day Saturday so Tyler was flying solo in the grown men department. However, he was so helpful with Charlotte and took turns with her and Gavin and showing them the fish. Charlotte loves Niki and Tyler and always goes right to them. This day was no exception.
Checking out the "ish" in the "wah-wah"...and telling Mr. Tyler about them.
We played musical chairs. Gavin and Charlotte were all over the place in the strollers. We just switched it, changed it, and rearranged it as many times as it took to keep them happy.
Charlotte loved watching all of the fish.
A beautiful family.
My favorite part of the aquarium... the massive wall with all of the colorful fish. It. Is. Amazing.
Ty's favorite part of the aquarium... the moving walkway with the fish swimming above and around you.
I LOVE this picture of Gavin. He looks like a little man. Charlotte could care less.
I wish I had moved closer for this picture. We got in trouble for letting them sit down on it after this so I couldn't get another picture.
Amazing. Pictures like this remind me that God is all around.
Really big fish...and sharks.
Looking for the whale.
I LOVE this. Charlotte is giving her goofball boyfriend/best friend a very disapproving look. Reminds me of how I look at Alex sometimes.
She loves him so much.
OH! Boom!!! He was so concerned when she fell over from his happy hug.
Picture Perfect.
Love this picture of her. Looks like an angel.
And there she really is.
It was a PERFECT day at the aquarium. These two were so good...ACTIVE, but good! They listened. Parker was amazing and so was Sawyer. The joy of us is we just keep trading kids. I had so much help from my fabulous friends. It was a MUCH NEEDED day of fun with the Midgetts.
And the weekend in Atlanta continues...
