Dad's birthday is February 19. We were busy and Dad was gone to the Villa for his birthday. So us "Metamora" siblings celebrated his birthday on February 25. And we went to his favorite spot... Bernardi's.
Sawyer loves his Papa. And his books. The two together is a home run for a fabulous evening for him!
We were all hungry... including the girl in the black sweater.
It was Daddy's day off so he was actually able to come with us (the whole reason we chose a Tuesday.) Both kids were so happy he got to come with us. He was also ecstatic. He loves him some Bernardi's.
Chad was using his napkin. We think he got all of the use he could out of it. It was so funny!

We brought candles and matches so we could sing Happy Birthday to Papa.
Charlotte loves a good birthday song and sweets and blowing out candles.

And naturally she was the first one to dig in.
We got Dad some stuff for his yard and one of this hoses that shrivels up to nothing. He loves birthdays... I think more now that his grandkids love them so much. We hated that Anne and Jeremy were five hours away and that Mom was out of town with her GFWC stuff. But it was still a fabulous night. We had a delicious meal. The only bad thing is that Sawyer coughed a few times and as soon as I heard it, I knew he was showing symptoms of croup. :( This was the start of a VERY long week for me...
