Celebrating Jake

On Saturday, January 25, our fun weekend of family get togethers continued.

Aunt Meem got to Grandma Ann's house that afternoon and saw us.
She had a birthday present for Charlotte.... A Sofia sleeping bag and pillow!!!!
Charlotte was in love....and tried it out right away.

Jake's going away party was that night at the Oasis in town. I can say this much, the Webers know everyone in their small town. TONS of people filtered in and out of the Oasis to see him. They had the back party room reserved. There were snacks and appetizers and beer.

And clearly there was great company!

This girl loves her Jake :)

Aunt Bev and Aunt Kathy made a TON of jello shots. They were soooo good. We just kept sucking them down!

The kids loved the food. They both just kept eating...

Dad loves Sawyer's bow tie :) He apparently wears it more than Sawyer does. HAHA.

Aunt Bev loves her some Weber girls.

I LOVE this picture of Charlotte and Aunt Diane.

Charlotte loves our family so much. Sometimes she has a weirdo way of showing it but other times she is just a cute cuddley sweet mess.

Sawyer needed a few naps. He was so tuckered out...

Aunt Didi had this great banner made for Jake. I love it.

Sisters in bars. Katie has a few more years before she can join in on the bar fun :)

Alex had to work but he ended up getting to the bar around 9 or so. Charlotte was so excited to see him.

Here she is telling him all about her day...and she was singing.
Our potty trained diva didn't have a single accident that day....even with the party going on.

Sisters.

We can't wait for the next baby to join us!

It's almost time to take these babies to Grandma's house.

Both kids were super tired....especially Sawyer. I took them to Grandma's house and got them all tucked in for the night. Anne, Mary, John, and Grandma all ended up getting home by the time I got the kids asleep. Katie was going to babysit them until one of them got there but they all came as I was getting ready to leave.

I arrived back to this :)
Apparently I was gone longer than I though :)

By the time I got back, everyone was feeling PRETTY good!

Jake shall miss us all.

Eric, an Airman himself, rocking and supporting with the AF hat.

These two don't get out much :)
Wayne was with a babysitter. Eric and Amanda were with Smirnoff and Jack.
It was a good 'ole time :)
And Eric was rocking my Harry Carrey glasses.

I love this picture. Eric and Amanda having their own dance party on chairs (and sometimes the bar) and Chad hanging talking to Caleb in their own convo. Everyone was at their own party.

Jake had quite the showing. Tons of his friends came. Tons of family came. Tons of towns people came. We are so very proud of him for going to the Air Force. We are going to miss him terribly but this is something he really wants to do. I am so glad that he was able to see just how special he is to so many of us. This was a great night. Alex and I were able to hang out at the bar with my cousins and drink and have fun.

Bravo to Didi and Grant for throwing a great party and bravo to Jake for being a brave man and serving our country :)

A Day With Jake

On Monday, January 13, the kids and I headed down to the farm to hang out with Jake before he leaves for the Air Force. We planned to spend all of Tuesday with him hanging out at Grandma Ann's house.

On Monday, the weather was BEAUTIFUL! Who knew the high 50's could feel so warm?!?!?!
The kids were so excited to play outside. It's already been a LONG winter.
Naturally Charlotte found the cat.

Kyla Margaret came out and was ready to rock n roll. We got here this adorable hoodie for her birthday. How much do you love it????

Sawyer brought his vacuum to "Maw Maw's" house. He even used it outside :)

They love each other and just play so well together!

Two pretty princesses.

This hot mess of a boy has no fear of anything.

I wish this picture was clear. He looks so so so cute here!

Love this Grandma (Maw Maw) of ours. She loves watching these crazy kids just run around like nuts all of the time.

Charlotte LOVES babies. Like loves them like crazy.
She's obsessed with Allana.

The first night, Monday night, was filled with hanging out with Melia, Allana, Kyla and Uncle Richard even came out. It was a perfect night and all of the kids got along so well.

The next day, Jake came out to hang out with us all day. He was at Grandma's house before lunch and hung around and played with everyone all day.

The kids helped him build a fire and they played out in the big room for forever.

Sis came out to visit too. Check out how crazy Charlotte looks.

I love this picture. Sawyer isn't so much a fan of being outgoing and taking pictures with everyone. But he loves Jake. He had so much fun with him this day.

Charlotte loves Jake but she especially loved him this day. She followed him everywhere. At one point she got mad and yelled at him for something. I told her she had to say she was sorry. It took her 45 minutes to say she was sorry. Here she is pouting in his arms. It was so funny.

Aunt Kathy even brought Wayne out for awhile. During naptime, the kids slept well. Grandma, Aunt Kathy, Melissa, Jake and I just relaxed and hung out. It was nice to have some chill adult time to talk to Jake about the coming months.

They couldn't get enough of Jake. They even followed him to the dining room table.

Fighting over "oing chips"....They LOVE "orange chips".

Charlotte was so so excited that Allana, Melia, and Kyla came back out that night too.

Clearly she felt the need to hold her and snuggle her.

She steals my heart when she is loving on babies.

The kids LOVE going to Grandma Ann's house. They have certain things they always do when they are there. One of those things is they play in Grandma's pantry. They use her mixer (unplugged). They are both very serious about it. They play in there for hours. It's so funny.

Kyla's eyes kill me!
They love each other so much!

We had ordered pizza for dinner. We LOVE Alfonso's pizza. Uncle, Melia, her girls, Melissa, Jake, Grandma, Uncle Richard, my kids, Caleb, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Darrin, and I all ate dinner here and there.

Charlotte and Kyla were playing a game with Caleb....or as Kyla (and by default Charlotte) call him "Bubby". They were playing some game where he would say something and they would laugh hysterically. I should have taken a video. It was so funny.

We had a discussion about doing push ups at the counter. Melissa and Rich were talking about being able to do 100. After about 20, Melissa stopped by Rich did all 100....and he was pretty proud. He says he does them sometimes at home for his exercises.

This boy loves his "Maw-Maw"

We had such a fun day at Grandma's house with everyone. It had gotten cold again so we had to stay inside all day. But it was still a great day. We headed back to Metamora Wednesday morning.
Here are some pictures of the kids the day we got home :)

She was showing off her belly just like Aunt Bare.

Such a sassy little diva.

It was a great few days. We love having plans and fun things to do that don't include just sitting inside our home hanging out all day everyday.

Mal and AJ's Party

You know, it's always a party when the Webers are involved. :)
One thing I really appreciate about our family is that we are all the first to get to a reception/event and we are the last to leave. That's the glory of family. They help with the set up and tear down....

Mallory and AJ's first dance.

The Weber Girls all married off.... and Mary has her little bun in the oven.

Grandma was gettin' tipsy!!
Kidding. She was holding Kurtis' beer.

Weber Siblings :)
Everyone looks amazing.
Caleb is standing weird.

Love a few things about this picture.
1.Caleb's hand on his hip.
2. The empty dance floor.
3. The fact that Anne and Katie are jumping.
4. The fact that Katie wasn't too embarrassed to do that....bc that is something isn't usually cool to a 12 yr old.

I want to say this was the Copperhead Road dance.
Anne and Melissa love a good line dance.
Caleb just loves dance...when he drinks...

I feel the thought bubbles here were...
Anne: Oh wow. Those kicks are nuts. I hope he doesn't fall.
Caleb: I am Lord of the Dance. The people ain't got nothin' on me.

Oh Uncle Jim....headed home with a mum in a pumpkin.

I love me a good lyrical dance. So while the cute newlyweds kids behind me, Aunt Michelle and I performed a lyrical dance...mostly her copying whatever I did (perhaps making fun of it.)
It was fun!

This picture of Aunt Michelle (in her pretty shoes) is priceless :)
I want an 8x10
I only wish she were facing the camera.
Creepy tongues...
Poor Alicia...

Grandma wasn't dancing.  Or drinking.
She was following the Cardinals game on Alicia's phone.

Another priceless picture....

I got Uncle Stinky onto the floor.
He and Caleb just really were rocking it...
What is Caleb doing?????

Rich was doing the macarena (sp?). That wasn't the song playing though.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Weber

They are just so cute together...

...and so are they...

Dad dancing with his Momma.

Jake just told Grandma he forgot to wear underpants.

They were dancing fools...

She is so pretty...and so happy.

Every party must come to an end....

The wedding was beautiful. We had a blast hanging out with family all day and night. Mom, Mary, Chad, and the kids headed back to the Villa round 7:30 but Dad, Anne and I stayed at the dance until it ended. We helped with clean up and then we headed to the villa. It was an awesome wedding.

Congratulations Mallory and AJ :)

Here is to your happily ever after!!
