I would love to tell some long tale that we had some CRAZY 4th of July. But truth of the matter is that Charlotte and I didn't even leave the house on the 4th of July. I was feeling pretty sick all day and it was about 105 degrees out so we decided to have an inside day at our humble abode.
Even though she had to play inside all day, she looked amazing doing it!
She was rocking her "ROCKSTAR" outfit from Aunt Alysia (or "Seasa" as Charlotte calls her). Yeah, neither one of us even wore patriotic gear. I let her pick out which skirt she wanted to wear and red, white and blue was not it.
The surprising part of the day was that Daddy made it home before bedtime!!! He even gave Charlotte her bath!! (This is something that he does only on his days off bc he never gets home before bedtime.) She was so happy to see her daddy, can you tell????
She even got a kiss goodnight from daddy!!! (She still won't let him put her to bed, but we will get there someday.)
So we may not have gotten to go to see the "Thunder on the Hooch" (fireworks over the Chattahoochee River) or eat watermelon with friends outside under the hot sun, but we got to play inside in the AC all day and stick to our normal routine. We did hear lots of fireworks being shot off by our woods of Georgia neighbors. So that was cool. Maybe next July 4th we will have friends here and it will be a different story...and I won't be pregnant so that will make a HUGE difference!
God Bless America! Hope y'all had as eventful of a 4th of July as we did!
