Pool Day At Gigi's

We had a nice little pool day at Gigi and Papa's house. We invited Jodi and her girls and Maegen and her girls. Bare and Liddy came down too. We all played outside and pretty much avoided the pool. It was pretty cold and in the shade the entire time. But the kids all played with the toys in the yard and had fun. We had a delicious lunch of frozen pizza and raw vegetables and chips then the naps needed to happen. Sawyer went down for a nap and Maegen took her girls home. Ella and Charlotte were able to play together a bit longer.

This is the result of that....

A beautiful blue eyed red head with lipstick.

Charlotte is a different story.....

Clearly she was a bit overzealous with the make up.

And this little beauty sat and watched and I know she made fun of them in her head.

And this sweet girl loved on everyone and only had a few fits. Doesn't she just look perfect????

I wish I had taken more pictures but of course I didn't....

It was a great day. I love watching my babes play with their friends.

A Busy Little Saturday

On April 12, 2014, we had a busy little Saturday planned.

We started the morning off at the Christian Union Church in town. They had an East egg hunt for people in town. Papa came up and met us for a few minutes. Aunt Bare came to help me out with the babes.

There was a lamb and it's momma there.
The kids were obsessed.

There were eggs everywhere!!!

There wasn't a lot of hunting required. It was more Easter egg "pick up" than anything.
Kaedence and Maegen were there too.

We saw Carter and Mason there too!

Look at all of these eggs!!

Love these two beauts.

K and Maegen. So cute!

Our crew of babes. Kaedence, Charlotte, Sawyer, Mason and Carter.

After the Easter egg hunt, we stopped by Uncle Poop's house (which is only a few blocks away). Papa and Poop were doing yard work. We showed them all of the candy.

Look at that long hair and silly face!

We got lunch and took it home. We did naps and got ready and headed down to see the Heflins.
We love visiting them at their new house!

These two. They are hilarious!
Just hanging out at the wood pile.

Alex met us down there when he got off of work. Cleary Sawyer was so excited to help him carry the beer in.

We hung out outside in the BEAUTIFUL weather. The kids were ecstatic to be outside. They ran around like crazy and played and played and played.

Sweet baby Em....

We ate a delicious meal (between Alex, Jodi and Derrick the kitchen was a buzz with stuff going on.)
The kids played some more.
Aunt Jodi even gave them dry erase markers to write on the windows.

We brought our jammies and we spent the night so that no one drove home after drinking any alcohol.
The daddies and the mommas hung out outside by the fire and had grown up time.

We had an awesome day. We had so much fun. The day ended perfectly.

And to top it all off, we finally had some great weather!!!
Happy Spring :)

A Sleepover At The Heflins!!

Going out to bars with friends on Saturday nights is a very rare occasion for Alex and I these days. Our Saturday nights are spent with me waiting for Alex to get off of work and then him coming home and us being asleep in front of the tv. However, occasionally we do hang out with friends. When we have a get together with Derrick and Jodi on the weekend, if it's just our two families, we usually pack to spend the night. This particular Saturday  night was no different.

The kids and I went over to the Heflins around 4 pm to hang out and start our evening.

I took a few pictures of the girls just for fun.

This beautiful face :)

How great is this beauty?

She loves the camera!

I love the fake smile....she still looks so beautiful though.

Pretty pretty girl...

We took a few of the girls together.

They are the prettiest babies.

I think this one is my favorite.

Then we added in the other two crazies.

These four keep us busy. And they all love each other.

She is shocked!!!

HAHA.

You know, I just wonder what she is thinking here.

We had a delicious meal prepared by Jodi. Alex got there. We all hung out, watched tv, played games, ate food.

The girls danced. And danced. And played.

They LOVE to play dress up.

Charlotte is obsessed with Ella.

And Sawyer is obsessed with toys that aren't his. He loves going to Aunt Jodi and Uncle Derrick's house.

The night for the kids usually ends with Sawyer sleeping in the room with Emily and Charlotte and Ella watching tv in Jodi and Derrick's room.

After the kids are all asleep, the adults get to hang out and just relax...which is why we always spend the night. By the time that happens, its like 10 or 11 pm. So the adults hung out and had a blast...as always. We didn't drink too much. All of us Jacksons slept downstairs on the couch or air mattress as usual. We love our nights with Jodi and Derrick and the girls. We love getting to hang out and just be together. I love watching our kids play and love on each other. We are so thankful to have friends like this here.

Happy Birthday Ella!!!

On October 6, 2013, we celebrated little Miss Ella's 4th birthday.
I love that Charlotte considers Ella her best friend. They love each other and play pretty well together!
We got up at Mom and Dad's house and had some breakfast. We headed home for naps and such then got to Ella's birthday party around 2:30.

Ella's grandparents rented this AMAZING blow up castle for her birthday party!!!!

Sweet Em... the temperatures had dropped significantly since the day before and continued to drop...

Alex was a trooper and got in the jumper with the kids for awhile. Sawyer couldn't manage it at all without adult help. Charlotte could handle it if there was only one other person in it.

Alex was the jumper police man :)

WHOA!

The things that make them so so happy.... riding in a wagon with your best friend drinking juice... life couldn't be more perfect.

Love that hair!!!!

He had his own little seat by the fire.

Hanging out by the fire....drinking apple juice....

Jodi had the backyard looking super cute. It was fall meets girly birthday party theme!

The meeting of the minds on how to hang up the pinata.

Nothing worked so we made Jodi hold it. :) SO FUNNY.
Charlotte didn't quite get the whole swinging of the bat.

Ella rocked it out. And Alex took over the holding once it was almost broken.

SHE DID IT! The birthday girl got the loot!!!

It was present time...
Charlotte wanted to help. Thankfully she listens well to Jodi and loves her. She sat on her lap almost the whole time and let Ella unwrap the presents.

The largest tootsie pop we have ever seen!!

The birthday girl and all of her fabulous presents!

I love this picture!!
Jodi and Charlotte were both clearly excited about the amazing princess shoes we bought for Ella.

Charlotte had to jump up and help Ella see the princess shoes and the tutu we got her.

The birthday cake!!!!
Jodi made the birthday cake herself:)
(She does it every year)

She loves her cake!

Two beautiful red heads!!!

We had so much fun at the party. By the end of it, the kids were damp (it was sprinkling off and on), they were tired and ready for bed. Jodi and Derrick are the BEST hosts. They had the perfect meal for the kids and different perfect meal for us adults. It was a great day spent with amazing friends and their family.

Happy Birthday, Ella :) We are so happy we get to celebrate these amazing milestones with you :)
