Meet Collin David

On Sunday, March 30, I got up early, got ready and headed toward Chicago for the day. I met Erica, Amy, and Tammy for lunch in the suburbs at a delicious winery. We tend to meet there if it's just us mommas. Ashley was going to come but was having some issues with her pregnancy so she was unable to come (which I told her she shouldn't come if she was feeling bad. Baby Workman was more important than lunch with friends.)

We all enjoyed a kid free lunch. (No offense babies.) We showered Tammy with gifts for sweet Baby Logan that is to be born in 5 weeks. And we enjoyed hilarious conversation and good food.

We then headed into the city. Amy drove us.

Jennifer lives in an awesome neighborhood. She lives on one of the diagonal streets where three streets intersect right in front of her condo. It's a bit tricky if you don't drive it every day.

What do you notice wrong with this picture?

Perfect.

We made it to Jennifer's alive :)

And we got to meet this sweet little man. Collin David.

And I got to take pictures of Tammy's beautiful baby bump.

She really didn't want me to take pictures but I just had to :)

She enjoyed a cold one after.
Just kidding.
It's cream (sp?) soda.

Erica enjoying sweet Collin David. So handsome.

Amy is going to get baby fever holding this little man...

How cute is this guy???? He was so chill. So tired.

Jennifer is such a beautiful mom. She is so great with him. It's so natural for her.

We missed you B and Ash!

Collin's nursery is ADORABLE. Jennifer has such a nack for decorating. (Is nack the right word???)
So perfect.

We loved our visit. We could have sat there all night visiting but we all had hubbies and kids to get home to. The amazing part with these girls is that no matter where we go in life, how far we move, how long it's been between visits, we all pick up right where we left off...just like we are 21 again. I've known them since I was 19. (Jennifer I have known since I was 15.) But I love them so much.

I made it home by 8:15. Alex had the kids all day by himself. He did so good. I came home to a clean house and a warm supper on the table. Sawyer was asleep and Charlotte was bouncing off of the walls.

All was good in the 'hood.

Thanks for an amazing day, friends.

And Collin, welcome to this crazy world.
Another GDI baby is born:-)

We Love These Boys

Great, long lasting friendships that can withstand distance, time and life circumstances are very rare. Tracey and I met in college. We lived on the same floor our freshman year. We were both from small towns. She was pretty, nice, and funny. Fourteen years later, we are still friends. In fact, we are more like sisters than friends. We both have kids that are 18 months apart...her two boys are a year older than my kids... Mitchell a year older than Charlotte and Carter a year older than Sawyer. So this time when we are together we have a 4 year old, a 3 year old, a 2 year old, and a 1 year :)

We came straight from gymnastics class home and they got to our house right after we had arrived.

Charlotte said we NEEDED to go to the basement. (or "bayment" as she calls it)

This handsome guy. Always hanging out on the sidelines. He is not outgoing like his sister but he does love to watch.

How old does he look???

This picture is one of my favorites. He is so handsome. And it looks like he is posing for me.

They all play so well together.

Peek A boo

I made a cake for Charlotte and a cake for Mitchell. Their birthday parties had to be on the same day so we couldn't attend each other's parties. Therefor, we needed to celebrate again!
I didn't have a #4 candle so he got a one :) And he totally didn't care!

Carter helped him blow his candle out.

The big #3!!

She was so very serious about licking the icing off of the #3.

Present time!!!!
Thomas sunglasses!

A movie, Thomas swim gear, and Thomas sunglasses!

Bath stuff :)

A "pwincess" scooter!!!

We always try a group photo. It varies as to who wants to cooperate and who doesn't.

This guy.

I love him.

Our four beauties!

Time to wrestle and giggle and be obnoxious!

We love our time together. It always goes way too fast. We love playing together and laughing and being crazy. Thank you Tracey and boys for coming two hours one way to see us for a few hours. We love you to the moon!!

Gymnastics Class!

I signed Charlotte up for a gymnastics class with the Washington Park District. Mom's come and join in the class as well. It was a six week class. Most weeks Sawyer would go be with Gigi and Aunt Bare but this week I took him and Aunt Bare with us.

He started crying hysterically when we walked into the building. He thought we were at the doctor's office.

Class has started! This particular week there were only a few of us. It was spring break week for the school aged kids so a bunch of the parents didn't bring their little ones. That is the teacher, Miss Kathy. She was amazing. Charlotte LOVED her.

Walking, skipping, tip toeing, marching around the mat.

Rolling and rolling and rolling

Kaedence is in the same class.

Balance beam time!

Her tiny little body... we could drag her wherever we wanted her to be.

Somersault!!!!

Backwards flipping!

The kids would walk and jump on these blocks. Kaedence and Charlotte used them for chairs and for them to stop and talk to each other.

Sawyer ended up getting brave and felt it was ok to leave my side for a few minutes to play.

Back flip time for Kaedence

She was doing a back flip! She did so well!

Charlotte always has to pee when we go to gymnastics. She loves the stools that she gets to stand on in the bathroom. Personally they gross me out a bit.

Charlotte (and Kaedence) love the horsey!

Wheelbarrow.
Check out Maegen just carrying K down the mat.  HAHA.
She looks like a rag doll just hanging.

Conversation time.
They would actually say "we need to talk".

Trampoline!!
Charlotte was attempting to jump on one leg.

Bests.

This is one of my favorite pictures!!!!

It was a great class. Charlotte loved the teacher and her friends. I think it was a great first class for her to try out teachers and such. She did awesome.
