Model In The Making

On this particular Sunday, Charlotte and I headed to the suburbs of Chicago with Gigi to spend the day. We picked up Gigi's friend, Miss Debbie, and we headed to the Blue Ribbon Style Show. The GFWC of Illinois throws this style show every year. Mom is asked to model in it frequently. This raises money for Prevent Child Abuse Illinois. (Hence the  name, Blue Ribbon Style Show. The blue ribbon stands for child abuse prevention.)

Charlotte wore her Easter dress that Gigi bought her and I did her hair. She was SUCH a good girl. She walked around and mingled with everyone while I kind of hung out and people watched (my third favorite activity.)

Charlotte thought she was such a big girl with her big girl drink.

After Charlotte saw the runway, clearly she felt like she needed to walk on it.

Pretty pretty princess.

She was so proud of herself.

She was joined by a little friend :)

Gigi's first outfit for the style show.
Charlotte refused to get on the runway when everyone was actually watching.

Not her bruise she got the day before :)

I love this one of her.

Gigi walking it out.

I went to the bathroom and when I got back, she was on the stage :) Thankfully someone grabbed my camera.

Mom's final outfit.

At the end of the show, they had everyone get up on the stage. NATURALLY Charlotte got up there :)

And she even found a friend.

The two models and crowd favorites.

It was such a great day! She even got a balloon!!!
It was a great way to spend the day with this sweet girl. You could tell she loved all of her one on one time with Gigi and Momma.

Sawyer Daddy and Papa hung out for the day. They did yard work. Lots of raking leaves at Gigi and Papa's house. They had a great day too.

Thank you Gigi for such an awesome day!!!

Mary's Maternity Pictures.... Shoot #1

Mary and Baby Kamm are trucking right along. The baby is growing like crazy and Mary has that beautiful pregnancy glow. (Those of us that have been pregnant know that the glow is most commonly caused by sweat. But whatever:) )

Mary looks amazing.
Thank you to Mary and Chad for letting me capture a few pictures of your growing family!

The same spot they got engaged in.

We headed out to Chad's family's farm to get the last few pictures. I had had both kids with me on the square for the first pictures but Alex picked up Sawyer on his way home from work and Charlotte came with me to finish the pictures.
She LOVES going to "Janet's house". She loves the kitties.
Shocking.

There is NOTHING like a Midwestern sunset.

The pictures turned out pretty good and Mary and Chad were AMAZING models for me. We can't wait to meet Baby Kamm. :) This child is so incredibly loved before it even is born.

A Week With Emily

We babysat sweet Emily for a few days during the first week of April. Aunt Kathy also came up to visit us that same week. We got to spend time with two of our favorite people!!

Aunt Kathy came on Tuesday to visit us. It was Alex's day off. I had taken Charlotte to the allergy doctor for an appointment and taken Emily with us. We got home and Aunt Kathy came to visit and stay. Mom and Dad were out of town so she stayed at their house and kept the kitties well fed. But she spent a chunk of her time with us.

Tuesday afternoon I took pictures for a friend of Mary's. She had a sweet baby girl named Peyton. I took Emily with me. She was my partner in crime while my two crazies stayed with Alex and Aunt Kathy.
This child... she is so beautiful :)

Sweet baby Peyton was such a beautiful, easy baby to photograph. How sweet is she????

After pictures, I took Emily to her momma and then headed home. Alex and Aunt Kathy had dinner under control. Mary, Chad, and Uncle Poop also joined us for dinner. It was a great night of hanging out and eating.

The next morning, Mary, Aunt Kathy, Emily, the kids and I headed out to go shopping. Naturally it was raining like crazy but, you know...

We headed to Kohl's and to Target (our favorite place to go). It was fun, chaotic, and I was ready to get home.

Emily had a front row seat to a show with the crazies during her Target ride.

That afternoon we sat around the house while it rained and rained and rained.
Charlotte is eating her toes in this picture.

Aunt Kathy headed home the next day. It was a fabulously fun week. We had Emily the next day as well. She loved her time with us. :) And we are finally getting to where she will nap at my house as well :) (There is generally too much going on for her to want to take a nap.)

Thanks for coming to visit, Aunt Kathy. And thanks for letting us take care of Emily, Jodi. She is just such an amazing girl...and so tolerant of my gremlins.
